So i loaded a window family into another family and then loaded that one into a project. The issue is in plan view it is showing my entire frame of my nested window family rather than cutting though it to show the window? Anyone know why its doing this and is there a way to fix it?

I've had the same problem in the past; try playing around with the view range in your window family. Make sure that your cutting through the window with default sill height (ensure that you are using 'Hidden Line' display while doing this). Then reload it into your project.

Doesnt seem to work for me. My window family view depth is cutting through the window and set hidden line. When I load that into my next family it shows fine but when yo load it into the project it shows the entire frame system. It looks like it entirly ignores the view depth of the nested family and looks at it as an entire system like stairs.

Attached is the example of my issue. The nested family 4 is the window family it is placed south of the actual window itself as a component.. When you load it into a project you will see what i mean
