Hello everyone,
I´ve been trying to have two floor plans NOT dependant on one another. I´ll explain: I want to be able to have different wall configurations, create two options for the client of the same level without just copying the whole thing aside (cos when you take the plan to a sheet, it brings the whole drawing….
I´m sure I´m missing something really easy here, if anyone could help it´d be great. I use REvit 2011.
Thanks.

So .... create two plans.... Easy - You can duplicate the view (not dependent) or choose from the ribbon - plan views - floor plan, uncheck do not duplicate existing views then pick your level.
NOW: For two different layouts, you need to use design options and there is way too much to explain here, so start reading your help. Design options can be set different for each floor plan view. Your original can be your base and your new one can be set to option 1....
Come back after you do some reading in the help or any books you may have.

Thanks a lot for your tips. Sure I have to do more reading, though I didn´t really know what I was looking for. You mentioned “design options” but can´t find in Revit´s help menu. What I need to do is create 2 different layouts of the same building.

You said you couldn't find "design options in the Revit HELP? Where are you looking?
Here is a snapshot of half of what is listed: Search < Design Option >
