"Parameter Jerk 2012 is a free Revit Addin utility that helps with importing multiple shared parameters into one or more files."
http://mertens3d.com/tools/revit/2012/parameter-jerk-2012/parameter-jerk-2012.php
Parameter Jerk is different from Revit 2011 Shared Parameters Converter Extension in several ways, most notable is the ability to save the configuration for each parameter (Group Undere, Instance/Type, Comment). It does not appear that you can do that with the Extension.
Try it out, let me know what you think.

I think this is going to really help me in my office. I just did a little bit of testing, and in RAC I was able to add MEP parameters (normally I can't, I have to do it from Revit MEP).
Something you might want to add is the ability to edit multiple parameters at once. I tried to change a group of parameters to type instead of instance and had to go down the list and click every check box instead of selectin them all and clicking once.

Hey -- I love your hatch add-in! I'll give this a shot too. I've avoided shared parameters as much as possible, maybe this'll make it a little more palatable.

TKennedy, I've added your suggestion to my 'to do' list. thanks.
itsmyalterego - Glad you are enjoying hatch22. You should certainly check out shared parameters, they'll make tagging and scheduling much easier.

I have another suggestion for you. Right now your addin doesn't work inside a project. That's all well and good, I need it for families anyway. The problem I'm runing into is that it doesn't work with in-place families, which we use quite often (for instance, all of our custom serving counters).
If this isn't possible I have a workaround (copy the in-place geometry to a seperate family), but it'd be really nice not to have to do it.

Awesome, great update! Seems to mostly be working, but I'm getting some errors when using sets.
1: When I open PJ the top set will be highlighted, but none of the params in the set will be selected. Since the top set is highlighted, clicking does nothing. I have to select a different set, then the top set (see PJError1, that's what it looks like just opening PJ, I haven't clicked anything).
2: It's not doing it now but the first time I was using it I wsa getting an error every time I selected a set, in the Main and the Edit Sets tab (see PJError2).
3: This may be related to #2, it's not happening now but it was when I was getting the error. When I would add params to a set other then the first set in the list, the params would get added correctly but it would switch back to the first set in the list. I would then have to click back to the set I was working it, which would throw an error.
Nitpicky stuff:
Is there a limit for the supplemental file backups? It'd be nice if it would only keep the last N amount, similar to how Revit operates.
A separate button on the ribbon would be nice, it would save a click or two.
Other than that, awesome add-in! I've been using the hell out of it, and it's really speeding up my day.

TKennedy,
Re: errors
Thanks for the feedback. I'll look at this soon, see if i can reproduce and fix it.
Re: backups
I could do that and will think about it. I'm a little reluctant to delete files on users computers...but I suppose I could prompt/ ask them if it's ok. ...thinking...
