I have a door in my curtain wall. I want to change some of it's informations in the schedule but to do so, I have to click on the door and edit it's properties. Well, the option I need to have filled in is not in it's properties, nor when I click to edit type. How do add to the options that I see when I lookin in a doors properties?

...another instance, it I have a glass slider door I'd like to also add more options to it's properties.

Thanks,

Natasha

In the project browser, in the families section, find the curtain wall doors (panels) you want to modiyf. Right click and say edit family. Then in the family properties you can add new parameters, then reload it to your project.

It is not as simple as just adding a parameter to the family.  If it is a family parameter, it has to be the same parameter - not just named the same.  And schedule only parameters are not in the family at all.

I suggest you first look at your schedule and the parameters you need.  Make sure they are not just added in the project.  If they are, you should be able to change them in the schedule.

If you would post what information you need in the family, we could help more.
