i usually use VIZ or MAX to generate complex surfaces. the question is: how can i import them in revit??? VIZ does not have an acis .sat export option......

A: Check and make sure that the .dwg export saves Nurbs. As I understand it the newest 2006(2005?) dwg has this capability.... B: find acis out plugin for 3ds Max/VIZ, can't seem to find a free one, so maybe look at polytrans f.i. C: export as .igs open with Rhino3d, export from rhino ....
