Hey guys sorry if this isn't the correct area to be asking this question but:I click on Revit Architecture (2011) to start it up and that small rectangular Start up screen pops up for a second or so then disappears as per normal... but then nothing happens.I've looked online a fair bit but nothing is specific to my situation, I need to use this program as i'm studying Building Design & Technology and i'm one of the few Reviteers in the course.I use a HP Dv6 (with Windows 7) which meets the system requirements easily and I have had no problems with it in the time i've been using it, until now.I've tried starting it up from several different locations but still nothing.Any help you could provide would be fantastic, Thanks guys!

Do a file search for "WSCommCntrData.xml. That file is tpically the problem. Delete this file and Revit will build a new one.

Thanks for the reply mate!I found (eventually) and deleted the file but it appears to have changed nothing.I haven't restarted my computer or anything since doing so, but i don't imagine it would make too much of a difference. My 3DS Max is also crashing immediately, which is doubly frustrating..Everything else like Photoshop & Flash Pro. are still working fine, it's just the autodesk group which appear to be having problems.

I have completely wiped then reinstalled revit 2011, it still does not work. The file .xml was not regenerated by revit and i'm nearly at wits end.I also read on another forum to delete a .dat file, this didn't work either.Any more help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
