Hi there - all day I've been trying to illuminate a ceiling in my model. The ceiling is a faceted series of extrusions that I want to illuminate. The rest of the render is coming out well, all walls etc are white, but the ceiling looks grey.
So far, I've adapted a spotlight to shoot a downward light from the ceiling - it's illuminating a little, but still isn't coming out grey.
Any recommendations on what I should try next? I've tried spotlights from both the ceiling and the ground, incandescent lighting, a series of individual lights around the cornice (couldn't make this work for some reason) - thanks any ideas would be great!
Hopefully my image will attach...

I think your last query was correct to add a series of lights around the cornice. Shining up, this may be part of your problem to get them to face up. You may have to make your own light for this purpose, like tivoli lights.
