I have a Revit problem that seems straightforward, but not to me at the moment...
We have a label in the title block. The label comprises 3 parameters concatenated with “-“ separators:
- Project Number
- Discipline
- Sheet Number
eg: 123456789-A-001
Of those 3 parameters
- Project Number: is inbuilt Revit Project Information
- Discipline: is Shared Parameter
- Sheet Number: is inbuilt Revit Project Information
In our Drawing List, for each sheet listed, we want one field to display the full label value: 123456789-A-001
Any suggestions?

Currently Revit does not support text manipulation so there is no automatic way of doing this. Wish there was......

I have the same question/need. Fine if we have to kluge the concatenation aspect. However, my bigger question is, is there any way to even get the Project Number itself to appear in a sheet list for multiple entries? If not directly, are there any best practices folks have used to deal with this situation?

Add a new shared parameter to the project and assign it to sheets.

As a secondary Project Number? Just don't use the built-in one, or is there a way to have it read the value from the built-in one?

When you add parmeters to a project, you can pick what categories they are assigned to, in this case project and sheets would work for both. It is not the same parameter as the default and you would not want to confuse the two so I suggest a different name.
