Hello

Our drawing standards require the lineweight for a slab edge to be thicker than that of an rc upstand. We have set our templates up to do this and it is fine until an rc upstand is positioned on the edge of a slab. In this case the lineweight of the upstand appears to over-write that of the slab edge which means that our thick slab edge line has bits of thin line where there is an upstand on the edge. Is there any way to make the slab linetype overwrite all other linetypes even when the slab is physically underneath another object?

I am not clear on what you mean by RC upstand on the edge of an RC slab.  what does RC mean?

I assume you are speaking about a concrete beam.  If you join the concrete slab to the concrete beam, you might be seeing the common edges.  If you go to the VV of the view, under floors, you will find a common edges sub-category.  You can turn this off, or over-ride it, depending on what you need it to look like.
