Is it possible? I've been meeting the required dimensions and size... and it tells me upload successful. However it has not changed. Anyone else have this problem?

this post is old but I'm having the same issue. Did you ever figure it out?
I select a new picture, hit the 'update profile' button, the next screen says successful but the avatar doesnt change. I know the file size limits and am well under that.

Ok, it's working, I changed my avatar then changed again, remember "Image files can be no larger than 15Kb in size and no larger than 80 pixel wide or 80 pixels high".
I tried with larger files and did not worked (21kb, 28 kb...).
After you update the profile try pressing ctrl and F5 at the same time to refresh browser cache.
