But you always have some backup files....*.0001, etc, just change the extension to rvt.

Actually I have been looking where I got it from and Im pretty sure its from the files that are preloaded and I realized that it has been letting me work and I loaded it early so I will lose everything if I start working on a backup file. I loaded it from the files that come when you download revit but how can that be?

If you have downloaded a trial version of revit, I don't believe you will be able to save your work. Is that your problem?

No but I found that every time I click on this closet pole and shelf it says that it is corrupted and has to close then it prompts me to save and revit will delete it but it never does. I have found that if I don't touch it, it is fine but this is not a safe way to work.
