I was wondering if there was a way to ensure that when you explode an import symbol of 2D lines, that none of them will disappear.
I did a little querying on the import symbol to see what the difference was between the lines that would disappear and the lines that would stay.
And what I noticed when I queried them was the info in the query dialogue box differed.
LINES WHICH DIDN'T DISAPPEAR:
Type: Line
Block Name: N/A
Layer: Joinery
Style by: Object
This "Style by: Object" was different with the lines that disappeared.
LINES WHICH DID DISAPPEAR:
Type: Line
Block Name: N/A
Layer: Joinery
Style by: Layer
If anyone knows how I can change the second line to a "Style by: Object", rather than layer, your help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

If you explode a dwg, Revit changes the lines to Revit lines and names them according to how they are defined in the dwg. The problem with exploding DWG's in a project is that you can get too many linetypes. It is better to explode dwgs in a cleanup project where you change the lines to your defined linetypes then import / or copy paste from the cleanup project into your project.
No lines should disapper unless that type is turned off in VG.
