I wish there was a nice easy way of telling which is the start and end of objects. When you don't draw items not everyone does things the same way. Even if node points could be different colors it would help when you have to go make changes.

Not sure what you are saying. Revit's start / end points of objects are easier to find then they were in CAD. If it is a family item and you have set your reference planes correctly, those points are even easier to find.
Maybe you should post an example of what you are talking about.

Cross braces for example
I have just been working on changes for a project that someone else drew, the braces are note done the way our office shows them. (we offset the working point down from the top and up from the bottom so the brace ties to the column). In this project some braces have the start point at the top and some have them at the bottom. It is not really the big of problem it would just be easier if you could set the colors of the start and end points to be different.
Thanks for your reply so quickly.

I moved this thread to structure so that those folks using structure will see it.

I add a directional arrow oriented with the head at the end-direction. We often need to modify start/end extensions and place symbols on beam ends and the directional arrow is a great visual cue. Not sure if this translates with braces since it's a beam family hard-coded to span levels.
You can do this for most loadable .rfa families.
System families like walls on the other hand...
Make sense?
