I was wondering if anyone had any ideas on how to create a barrel vault ceiling?
I have attempting creating a barrel vault ceiling by creating a roof extrusion along the barrel vault path I desire and then editting the type to make it appear as a suspended ceiling system, but then light fixtures and other such items that require a ceiling host cannot be inserted.
Any ideas?
Thanks!

You don't create this as a roof. Create as an in-place family -CEILING category.....

Hi, could you please explain how did you figure this out?
Where exactly is that in-place family option?
Thanks

You can create an in place family by selecting "Model in Place." You can find this on the Home tab - Build - Component - Model in Place. Revit will then ask you what type of family category you want to create. In this instance, you can select Ceilings to create a ceiling. Revit will then ask you to name this new family. Your model will then grey out allowing you to create a new family in place. You can do so using the various different forms. I created my ceiling using the sweep command. The best advice, i can give. Just play with it. You will have to create a profile for the sweep to use and a patch for the sweep to follow.
