A curtain panel surface pattern shows up in all my working views (axons, etc.), however it is not showing up in my 3D camera views.  All the visibility and material setting are correct.  I know because the surface pattern shows up when I set the view to Constant Colors, but I need the view to be Hidden Line and the pattern goes away.

Any thoughts on how to fix this or get around it?  I also tried overriding the surface pattern of curtain panels in the view and that did not work either.

your hatch color isn't white, by any chance?

@ itsmyalterego

Nope, the surface pattern is a solid blue color with a 25% transparency.

I don't know.

I'm looking at a 3D camera view right here though, in hidden-line, with solid surface hatches turned on, and curtain panels in particular, hatched.  Adding 25% transparency to my material works perfectly with the solid surface pattern.  To be clear-- I'm adding a hatch to the -material- the panel is made of, not to the curtain panel category.

Try making a new camera view, and/or apply a view template you've made from an existing view that looks like you want.  Sometimes some views get a little... funny.  Is this not isolated to one 3D view, though?

pic attached, correct me if I'm wrong--this is similar to the effects you're looking for?
