Hello, this is my first post. I am fairly new to revit and self taught, so i don't know too much. My question is, how do i change the marking of a door/window schedule from numbers to marking with letters. I.E. I would like my door schedule/ tags to be sorted by number, i would like my windows to be sorted in the schedule/tags by letter. I am soon to leave for a national competition and this would be very helpful to know.

Did you try using letters in the mark number rather than letters?  Try it.

I can manually change the marks to letters yet. I was wondering if there was an option where i could make the schedule automatically mark windows with letters instead of numbers, for the sake of speed.

When placing rooms, doors and windows in Revit, the program indexes the mark number from the last one placed.  So if you start with 100, the next is 101, if as you place a unit, you set the mark to be C, the next will be D, if it is set to be 200A, the next will be 200B.  Note, this is when placing the item, not tagging it.

In addition, there are add on packages for re-numbering items like this.
