I would like to add placeholder sheets to my sheet list and filter them by discipline (Civil, Structural, etc.) without having to actually add sheets to the project browser. I add a new row to the sheet list, but I can't figure out a way to filter it by discipline. I know this is possible, I just can't figure out how to do it! Thanks

We have added a parameter to sheets in the project that is used to sort our sheet list. (The parameter is hidden in the sheet schedule)

How did you add the parameter? I have tried several things and I cannot get this to work out. Please provide a step by step if possible. I am clueless at this point. It's getting very frustrating. I have only had a month or so of Revit usage and some training but not in this type of cutomization. Any help is appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Start by learning to use your HELP:
- Creating Project Parameters < Read that and assign the parameter to views or to sheets
- Customizing Project View Organization in the Project Browser < Read that to set up your sort

OK, I just MUST be dense or something because I can't get the Parameter to work. I have read the material you suggested and I dont know WHAT kind of parameter I need to get it to do this. This is all new to me and I obviously am not understanding this properly. I still need help.

Create a new project parameter called ??? 'Sheet Order" .... and assign it to sheets. Right-Click on the Sheets in your browser and pick new type. Now duplicate the type thats there to create a new type .... name it sorted ... and set the parameter to sort by Sheet Order.
Now you will assign a value to Sort Order for every sheet - oterwise, they will be under ??
