I just got the survey for my project today, and the surveyor used a different base elevation. I used Relocate Project to bring my model down about 225 feet, so I could use the same elevations the surveyor used. However, my topo surface still shows point around 325 feet (rather than around 100 feet as on the survey). What's up with this? Is there any way around it beyond just adding 225' 1.5" to everything? If it was a tidier number I wouldn't mind so much...
I'm using Revit 2011.
Thanks!

Your question is a little confusing. Often I find that surveyors will use no topo on their horizontal control so that they will have some points that are say 0 elevation. This will translate to a sort of strange looking topographic surface. Dependant on the survey itself, I will go into the model and correct elevations as needed, or just cut the region out that I want. I trust that the surveyor is using a real world elevation as opposed to just picking one. In the event, that the surveyor has assumed an elevation, like 100 or whatever. I ask the surveyor to tie there topo to a correct benchmark and send me a new electronic map.

Sorry for the consuing question. The survey info was a flat AutoCAD drawing, so I was placing points by hand in the topo surface. Becasue I'd started the drawing with a FFE of 330 (which is close to the actual elevation above sea level), and the survey came back with a FFE of 112.2, I used the relocate project tool so the level elevations would appear correct. I was sad to find that this didn't actually move the project though - the original (placeholder) toposurface still had all its points in the 320-330 range. What I ended up doing was manually adding 217.8 feet to each and every spot elevation, which was annoying, but it had to get done... I wish there was a quicker way, and if there is, I hope someone will tell me in case it happens again!
Thanks...

if you select the surface in a elevation you can move it up or down and the whole thing will move and contours change etc.

You know, I had thought that was true, and I tried it, but didn't have any luck. Maybe something was locked strangely... Thanks though!
