I want to do 3 different design options on the same model. When I try duplicating a view I alter one the original changes.
How can you do this with the same model having its own views?

In visibility graphics for the view.
The default design option (automatic) is the primary option

Did you duplicate the view then go into the new view and press "vv" to get those options? I only get these 3 less tabs than you

You need to use Design Options. Duplicating a view is just duplicating a section through the model. There is only one model, but multiple views.
You can use the help file (because it actually is REALLY helpful) to figure out how to use Design Options.
And if that doesn't work (or you are too lazy) just ask again.

The help in revit is actually helpful which I am really suprised as most programs help is useless. As good as it is I am not. I tried and followed the help instructions I have made 2 design options but I can't seem to be able to view them seperatly I just want to be able to have 2-3 different designs I can view in all view so I can flip between the different designs say in 3D to show.

It sounds like you got what you needed.
Just a quick FYI.
Design Options have their own visibility tab in VV. The primary option will display by default if you do not select it.
Also, you can schedule elements in design options.
Accepting the primary option (when you are finished) WILL DELETE both the other design options and ALL elements within them. Be careful. This would be a good time to Archive.
