i have a project where there is only one wokrset that all have been using at the office. that has been working out fine unitl now.  we have to work at home now and i brought my local file home and just made workset1 editable at home and will make it uneditable when i close the file and bring it back to work.  since we dont touch the same elements we should be fine correct?

my other user will touch only lighting elements and i am working on hvac.  if we both follow the same process the central file still doesnt know who has what.  when we return to work we will just save to central becuase we havent checked out the worksets from the office, we did localy at home.

we use revit mep 2011

Create a copy of the central file for backup.

Save to central and see what happens.

But, before you do, let everyone know that the central file will be 'offline' for however long you need to test.

Might not work so well if you have a large group of people working on the file.

Good luck.
