Hey guys I no there is a tool to fix this I have been looking for ages and cant find it. When you place down a few walls and the lines dont stop at the correct spot ( see attached ) how do you "trim" them?

Drag the end of the wall back, or if their is an intersecting wall, drag the wall back and use the extend tool to meet the two walls.

Also, know that multi-story walls might be connecting to other walls above or below where you're working, and not cooperating for that reason. Usually it's best to make floor to floor walls, especially in the interior of your building.
There's also a "wall join" tool. It's under the Modify tab, in the Geometry section. The pencil pointed toward the angle.
This will allow you to highlight your wall join, and force revit to cycle through the possible join scenarios. Odds are a few clicks will bring you to something suitable. experiement with mitre too.
