I'm working on one of the projects doing lighting, I put fixtures etc, few days ago we got new updated/arch background, few walls changed etc. How do i just grab arch background and update with our electrical sheets?
I did order Mastering revit 2011 arch book, Im expert in acad but new to revit.
any help would be great, till i get the book.

If the architectural is a Revit model, you should have it linked in. As such, you just put the new model in the same location with the same name. If this is not the case, then you need to tell us more about what you are doing.

One addendum, have EVERYONE get out of the central file, save their stuff to central, etc. prior to doing this, as if there are any warnings such as a component losing a host, only one person can attend to this warning at a time, and if you accept the warnings, anyone who is still in the file, will now find themselves unable to reconcile with the central file.
If you were the architect, you can update backgrounds even while people are working in the central file with no issues.
