Howdy all, I have uploaded the new 2012 version of Revit Architecture and all seems to be good apart from the tagging aspect of structural beams. First noticed that when I tried to load a timber beam from the International Library, it is automatically 'Analytical'. This makes it impossible to edit the family or to mark it in the properties display. Also I can't find and analytical annotation mark for it in any library. Any thoughts or ideas would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers

What do you mean by 'Automatically Analytical'?
Do you mean to say that it is a single thick line? Structural beams display as single lines in Coarse views. If you over-ride the category in VV to display as Fine (you can over-ride individual categories and not the whole view) it should show up as a beam with width.
As for the tag, you just need to load a structural beam tag. If there isn't one out-of-the-box, you can create it very simply.
Start with any annotations family template.
Change the category to structural framing.
Create a Label to read the Type Name.
Make sense?
Cheers.
