Hello,
I am using my reflected ceiling plan as an underlay in my plan view. The problem is that I have a number of different ceilings in the reflected view and would only like to show one of them in my plan view. Is this at all possible? Would be thankful for help!
Regards / Moa

I'm not quite sure what you are saying. Please explain in more detail, perhaps a view. You might be able to use view region to eliminate some of ceiling in the underlay.

Hello,
Thanks for answering! And sorry if I´m being unclear. It´s a bit difficult to explain. In the attached image is a part of the view I´m referring to. I have used a floorplan as underlay but with the reflected ceiling plan as underlay orientation so I can see the ceilings placed it that view. But, I would only like to see the ceiling marked with green in this view. The two marked with red I only want to see in the section view. All ceilings are placed at the same height. Is it possible to do this?

If that ceiling view was drawn in Revit, you can use plan region to alter the view depth so that that area shows and the others do not. Look at your help menu Plan Region. Hope that works, I have never done it but plan region helps a lot to show info you want when there are varying floor heights and in this case ceiling heights that you want to see.

I remember something about being able to control underlays better, but don't see it anywhere. Here is what I'd try: in the view with the ceiling showing, make sure that the red ones to not be displayed, are of a different type than the ones to show. Go to visibility graphics overrides->filters. Create a new filter for ceilings, based on some value which is different between the two ceilings (i.e. - type name, or even add a yes/no parameter to all your ceilings). Set up such that your filter selects the red ceilings. Add the filter to this view, and then uncheck the visible check box. This in theory should remove any ceiling which you have designated as not being visible... Thus the red ones go away, the green ones remain... The catch to this, is whether or not the view filter affects the underlay. I think that they do in 2011 and up, but am not certain as to whether they do.
Please do us a favor, if you try this, let us know if it works or not. If it doesn't work, then only option is mbsteve's method.

Thank you very much for your assistance both of you, you made my day! Tried the solution with filters, and it worked like a charm! Thanks again!
