I'm just starting revit so sorry if this question is very basic.  Why are the colors so limited on materials like stones and woods and plaster?  Is there  a way to alter it colors?

Obviously Revit's pallette of materials is just a starting point but you can create as many as you need.  Start by reading this topic in your HELP: Creating a Material
