Doc.FamilyCreate.NewFamilyInstance(location, symbol,ActiveView)  will place multiple families on a sheet but how I do place one family inside of another?  Can the ActiveView be set to a family?

To place a family inside another, you have to be editing the host family.

For more answers about families, nested families and how to control them, download the Families Guide on the autodesk website.

Is http://usa.autodesk.com/adsk/servlet/item?siteID=123112&id=13376394 the document?  I just see some methods to do things manually.  I couldn't find any VB.NET examples.

That is the guide.

Why are you talking about VB.net?   That has nothing to do with your previous question.

I'm want to create a program that will allow the user to insert one family into another via a Add-In.
