Hello. I found a luminaire on RevitCity that I thought would work for a current project, but everytime I enter it into the ceiling view, though it appears to have attached to the face, when I go to a different view, it is clear that the fixture is half way in and out of the ceiling. I have tried to edit the family but it has a reference plane exactly where the fixture gets stuck. I have tried to move this and I get an error that says it can't be done. I try to move the luminaire, or add an offset or other reference plane and I get an error once again saying to delete the element because it can't be done.
I have only basic REVIT skills, but this fixture is the only one I have found that I would like to use. What am I doing incorrectly?

In project click on that luminaire and go to properties and check if you have any "Offset" parameter" where you can control what you want, if not, you will need to edit that family and modify it or create your own family...
