Hey guys,
I've found myself in a bit of trouble while working on a curtain wall.
I made a parametric system of louvres however, I am trying to fit part of the system into an odd shaped space, and it is not working at all.
I'm pretty sure it is becuase the parameters I have do not alow for angles, but since I am new to parametric systems I have no idea what I can do to make it fit, no matter what the shape I try place it in. I've attached two images, one showing the are I want to place it (highlighted triangle) and the other showing the curtain wall system itself.
Hope you guys can help.
Thanks

I would suggest not to put your effort to try to accomondate this "odd" condition.
I think it can be better handled by using in-place family (although I am not a big fan of it)
OR you can make a generic louver family (face based perhaps) and use it at the odd location

You'd have to either in place family, or custom build a family for that unique condition. I recommend the custom family, just get the dimensions to the opening, draw reference planes and lines to represent the opening, then make your family model, add any parameters, etc. Load into project and place where it goes, then modify/fix any issues you find.

Fair enough. Thanks guys. Didn't think it was going to be as easy as making a more adaptable model. I'll probably model a specific family for the condition. I'll have to make a couple though as I was having the same problem with a large feature wall where it is important to have the design element. I tried working around the problem by changing the design but found that the lines of the form were totally lost. It would be great if they infroduced a new parameter where the reference line would actually cut the geometry to the shape.
Anyway. Thanks again guys.

Just to summarise, when a panel is irregular Revit only allows you to use system panels and not loaded families. Unless its a pattern based system or an adaptive component...
