I have a bunch of elevations lined up (unfolded, if you will) and I want it to be just white below the cutline. Right now, you can see the topo beyond the cutline where the topo slopes down in the back... is there a way to make it so the "earth" is just white below the cut?
Thanks.
Let me know if that isn't clear enough.

Not sure what you are asking. Sometimes, you want to place the elevation cut almost aginst the face of the walls. That might work for what you are doing. You might have to use a masking rgion or an opaque filled rgion depending on what you want to see.

I'm thinking a masking region might be the best... but let me re-explain the issue in case there is a simple way of doing this.
So for the East elevation, there is a street, then a sidewalk, then a football field, then the building. I want the elevation to cut through the street while looking toward the building, but currently when I do that, I can see the lower level of the building in the background, because it is lower in topography than the street. Aside from modeling a white wall that hangs down off of the street and acts as a "shield" blocking the background stuff from view, is there a way to just block everything below the topo cut line from view?

Try moving the view depth such that the cut plane, and the bottom are the same value. Then make the view depth the same as the cut plane... i.e- set them all to 4' or whatever you are cutting at. This will make it so that anything not cut by the cut plane will not be seen. Alternatively, for topo's etc. where if any point is cut, the whole thingy shows up, just hide in view those elements you don't want to see.

ignore my previous, that is for plan view, I missed that we were in elevations... Masking views are your best bet, along with filled regions... I've used filled regions to show "earth", gravel, etc. packed next to a footing, etc. Then I used masking regions to hide anything else. The closest you can get to automated in this, is using a deep topo, which obscures any building beyond it (I honestly haven't ever gotten this to work as I wanted, though I could see where it might work for some).

That makes a lot of sense to me. Thanks. I will try the deep topo and just making the cut pattern white and see how that goes.
Thanks!

I think you were on the right track in the begining with a masking region or even a earth region.
