Hello all,

I am working in Revit 2011. I have imported a sketch  of a siteplan and would like to model over it. However I do not want the image to move. I know you can PIN the image, however it is still selectable. I would like to figure out a way to have it really like a background image, unselectable and pinned. This way I can drag and select only the model compents I am working on.

Thanks for all the help!

My best advice is to learn to deal with this..... Learn to use your filter and pay special attention when selecting with a crossing.  Hard rule to learn at first after coming from CAD but best if learned.

There is something you can do but I'll let someone else tell you if they don't agree with the above.

BTW - Turn off press and drag and that will help.

Thank you,

The press & drag does help a lot!

Turn off "select pinned elements" (down right corner)

skaut,

You are right - that icon is now available in recent releases but it was not available in the 2011 or even 2012 release.  Attached is an image of what was available in 2012.

The program keeps getting better.
