Does anyone know of a way to change the shade of shadows in Revit Interior renders, i.e. darker/lighter?

When you say "Revit Interior renders", do you mean a ray-traced view?

Yes, from the Rendering/Settings dialog, select Interior as the Scene type.

You can't adjust them directly either increase the lighting in the room of give the material of the item a self illimunancy value.
