for some reason not all my walls go up to the floor above. they leave a few cm of space between the ceiling and the top of the wall even though a wall witht the same height does right nexto it.
i am very close to just making all the lines <invisible line>

i have attached them to the level and made them unbound. i can overcome this some times by cutting and pasteing the wall but there are way too many walls now to do that and not have to do alot of work again.
and after reading my post over again i wonder is there is a way to adit the title so it isnt messed up.

Look carefully at the property of one of these walls and make sure there is no top offset.
You say these go up to the floor above. Do you mean the level above? If they go up to the level and then if you edit the floor sketch, when you finish, it will ask if you want to cut out any intersecting walls. If you answer yes, then Revit will cut the wall at the bottom of your floor.

What phase are the walls in? If they are attached to a floor/ceiling in a previous phase they will not be able to be attached in the current phase

Sorry but this is a user error and we don't seem to be communicating. Some images of your problem and the properies of the walls would help in the communication. I think we are talking apples and you are hearing oranges....
Some time spent with tutorials may help you as well.

apples and oranges indeed.
the problem was that i have two different ceiling thicknesses and that the walls wanted to attach to only the lower one leaving a gap between the thinner ceiling and the wall.
