Quick question(sortof)

I was on the autodesk forums and asked about pricing for

"Revit Architecture Visulaization Suite" which includes

Autodesk Revit (Architecture)

AutoCAD

AutoCAD Architecture

Autodesk 3ds Max Design

but now they said they have discontinuted it and I would have to buy the "Autodesk Building Design Suite"

which includes stuff we dont need.  Well first does anyone remember how much $$$  it was for the "Visulaization Suite"?  or do you think my local reseller would still have that option.   I would call them but I dont want to listen to a sales pitch for 15mins.

The prices for the suite (retail) are on Autodesk's website.  The dealer we are working with recently said the initial cost of the Autodesk Building Design Suite was within a couple hundred dollars of the Revit Architecture Suite we are currently on (includes AutoCAD, AutoCAD Arch and Revit Arch).  The subscription price was about $150 more per year.

I have heard the intent is to switch people from the "Visualization" Suite to the "Building Design" Suite for a comparable price.

Hope this helps.

really only $150 for a sub?   The lowest I am seeing is a min. of $500

Because the currect price for Revit Architecture SUITE 2012(autodesk.com)

5,995(without sub)

6720 (with sub)

Which reseller are you working with? or were these old prices?

Clarification: The subcription cost was about $150 difference between Revit Architecture Suite and the Building Design Suite - Buildign Design Suite was more.  Those prices look right for single licenses, however we are getting a volume discount.

You will have to talk to your local dealer.
