I'm doing a life safety plan for a public high school. I've created a version of my room tag that notes each room's occupancy (assembly, business, etc.). Does anyone know how I could then enter a simple formula into my parameters so to calculate occupancy for each room, similar to what I would normally do in MS Excel? For instance, say I have a 900 sf classroom, and my "Life Safety Room Tag" would have a label where I'd enter "Education". Under IBC 2009, the rule is 20 sf/person net, so it's a simple if/then calculation. My tag would simply divide the square footage of the room (900) by the factor (20) for an occupancy of 45.
I suppose the next part of the question is how to put that into a schedule. Any help appreciated. Thanks.
