Hi,

I need to either modify or create a new surface pattern for a material.  How do I do this?

There was another post today about surface patterns.  I would definitely look into the "hatch22" plugin.  probably easy to google.  Works with 2011, and it allows you to draw a hatch pattern to the exact scale you want, with lines, and then transform your selection into as a model hatch.  Or a drafting hatch if you prefer. 

WWhub once said it might not export to cad.  That's easy to imagine.  But if you don't need to export for whatever reason, it seems to work perfectly within revit itself.  I've used it on several projects now, and it REALLY beats the hell out of messing with old ACAD .pat files and thier funky scaling.
