Can't figure out how to go from ridgeline to level 1 without the ridgeline being center...I want the ridgeline centered over level 2 and extended down to level one to make a great room. Attached a screen shot of my plans with what I'm looking for. I'm guessing the roof over the master bedroom is a second roof joined to the first.
Any and all help would be great, I'm a beginner with Revit 2011 so use simple words and step-by-step would be nice
Thanks
Dan

I believe I understand your question, just for clarity a section with some line work would be helpful. Assuming that you want a long sloped roof that is vaulted over the lower master bedroom, I might do it as a separate roof. Then you can cut them together. Or you might try giving the upper roof a 15 foot overhang that will ride down to the lower floor. This type of roof is very tricky because all the plate lines must line up with the roof pitch. Good Luck.

Thanks MBSTEVE,
Hadn't thought about a long overhang. Will have to try this.

I don't think i understand what you are doing at the line that says "not connected to other roof" but here's a close stab at what you are going for. Let me know and i'll see if i can tweak it to match exactly what you are after.

You fell victim to one of the classic blunders. The most famous is never get involved in a land war in asia, but only slightly less well known is this! Never go in against a Sicilian when death is on the line! |

I just noticed that in my video my overhang roof only went to level 2. Just set the base level to level 1 instead and set the eave offset accordingly.
