I want to use building pads to show excavations for site utilities. But, the pad seems to be attaching a solid, rather than cutting through the toposurface. I have checked to make sure the pad is below the lowest elevation and I have checked the phases. What am I doing wrong? Attached image, “Vinson Hall 3”, shows the solid on the underside of the toposurface.

how thick is your slab...? And is your slab glass? ...or something similar? I think I see what you're trying to do, lay down the excavation for the pipe. First thing I would do is make the slab 1" thick instead of a monolith... I don't know why I feel this woudl help, but it might. Is there a possibility that you have two topo surfaces layerd on top of one another by mistake?
