v.2011
I've got a problem with my plan views. All of my lines (well except for some which tipped me off to the difference) are gray even though every setting possible says they shouldn't be. theres no underlay the object sytles say the should be black, i'm not in sketch mode... I'm kinda at my wits end. any body with ridiculous notions of why these are doing this please post as all reasonable reasons seem to not be the problem.
thx

which lines AREN'T gray? that may be a hint, there.
check in VG, and see if the halftone box is checked. It's to the right. Are you the only person working on this project?

Yeah I already checked that. none of the boxes are selected. Everything is gray except for SOME components SOME doors, any vegetation and most of the annotation symbols. Its pretty sporadic which is and which isnt. i noticed that I could change the tone of the gray by playing with the room bounding, bearing, and moves with other objects boxes. But even with this they all remain gray. I would post a copy of the file but its about 30MB and I dont want to bog down anyone's transfer rate. Oh and yes I am the only person working on this file.
Thanks for your reply

gotcha. this is a phasing issue, then. check to see what phase your plans are set to display... it'll probably say "existing" or "previous" or some jargon.
I would just turn the phase filter off. "none" believe it is, though I'm not a a computer with revit to check the naming..

so yeah the phasing definitely had something to do with it because it changed the tone again. but not the problem. I did find however that when i turn off mass visibility in V/G everything goes back to how it should be. Any idea how I can change it so everything is black with massing on?
