Hi,

I am trying to create building pads at a couple different elevations, but run into the problem of inevitably overlapping one by a few inches...

I know they can border, but not overlap, so is there any way to have other building pads highlighted while you are creating a nearby one so that you can border right up against them?

I know one answer is: just use pick lines/walls and keep track of which lines are where.  But with a big project, it is getting hard to keep track of all of this.

Much thanks for the help!

i dont know if there an easier way... but what i do in this cases is copy/paste on view same lines. I mean copy from one pad, creating new one ( next to the one i copy) and then pasting in view (plan view)

I have found most of the cases works, but it haves problemswith arcs... Hope it helps

I cretae a 3d and plan "pads only" view with nothing but the pads visible.

It halps a bit to see whats happening.
