Hey all,
i've got this little thing that wont go away. using revit 11. I'm placing furniture and fixtures in my and as i go along i will occaisionally switch to the floor below only to discover that random pieces of furniture/fixtures are located there. by clicking on them I made sure the level and offset for each was set to the correct level (the level above where a copy of the component is located). switching to 3d none of these components are visible. checked the work plane, restarted, reloaded families (oh yeah sometimes if the component has a nested component within it that component will appear on the floor below without the rest of the family), nothing seems to work. Its always the floor below too never the floors above. any ideas???

Ok. To all if you are having this problem its because at some point you set your view range on your plane to "next level above" and not "associated level" with offset. still doesnt make sense because the objects were all above the level itself therefore the depth clipping of the level should have eliminated them... no idea

when you have an object selected, there should be a button available called "pick new host" clicking on a different floor should bump them up to where you want. or any good surface for that matter.
