Does anyone know of a program which can convert either a .ipt, .bmp, .igs, .sat, .stp, .stl, .ptp, .xgl, or .zgl file to a .dwg file? Thanks in advance.

Welllllll, it ain't that easy. First, it sounds like you need a drawing of something you have a picture of - Is that correct? As I'm sure you are aware, you are changing bitmaps into vector data when you go to a DWG format. If you only need the image for a background, obviously just insert it into AutoCad or Revit. IF you need vector information, the first thing I'd probably do is process the image in photoshop and find the edges. Then use a program like Draftsman Plus, or another Vector Imaging program that can take a bitmap, find the density you want and define "those dots to lines". IF you don't have access to a conversion program, sometimes the quickest way is to import the image into Autocad - put it in the background, and go to tracing it. If you have multiple images, you can use RealViz Imagemodeler, make a 3d model, import into 3DSMAX, or dxf, then export to Autocad, etc. Anyway- Around the world answer. Give more specific information and perhaps someone can tighten this answer up... One other solution is to find a service bureau and have them convert it. Probably a lot less headache depending on your delivery schedule...
