Hi

I imported a window from ACAD to Revit, and then changed all the materials according to other Revit windows (Steel frame and transparent glass).

The ACAD window looked right as other Revit windows when I used "shade with edge" or "realistic" modes.

However when I rendered, the glass turned into black color.....

Do you know how to solve it?

Thank you very much.

First you'll have to "edit family" and make sure the glazing has a material applied to it. I find that alot of them are just set to "By Category". Then in your main model (if you hit "load into project", any materials changes will not overwrite), find that material name and under the "Render Appearance" tab, make sure you have an appropriate glazing material. Try setting the "Visual Style" to realistic before applying a render.
