Hi,
Every door I've tried to render ends up looking like a shadowy block, no detail. I've tried a number of different ones beyond the "official" Revit door families - same issue. I also tried going into the materials manager and making sure the material selected for the door panel was wood. when I look at the door in 3d mode, there's also no panel detail, just a simple panel that looks like a flush door. I imagine it's some obvious thing I'm doing wrong, but I don't know what that would be. Help would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Deb

Materials like wood patterns may not really show in simple 3D mode depending on the material and if a pattern file is set to show. Look again at the materials. Also note that the project rules. Settings in the family are over-ridden by settings in the project for same name materials.
