Hey all I am having the following situation: In the existing situation I have a square window. In the new construction, I have made a new window which has the same width, but is made longer. So the window is in phaze demolished too. All goes well now. Although, when I go to my existing facade, I can see the contours of the new window in the wall. It is like there is another piece of wall where the new window will come. So I can see vertical lines, which I do not want to have. I have the same problem when I open the same view on new construction... VERY annoying. Anyone recognizes this issue?

First, check your phase filter, out of the box, you probably want show prev+ new construction for your plan views. For you demolishion plans, you want show prev. What is happening is Revit's way of dealing with your situation, because when you put in the new window in that existing wall, you are removing a portion of the wall + the window that was there, thus you will see part of the wall being demolished, and the window. When you look at your plan view you should just see the window in an existing wall. The only way to remove any lines which Revit thinks should be there is using your line working tool, select invisible lines, and then click on the lines you want to vanish. hope it helps

Phaze filter is set to previous + new So I d expect only to see what was before, nothing from the new part In the attached picture, you can see 2 windows on the first floor and they have these vertical lines from the new windows...

Ok, to get the result that you want, requires you to change your phase. When you are performing a project, you should have it set to that project's phase (by default new construction, but as you do more and more within revit, you should name the new construction phase after the project). The phase filter is showing you the work which has to be done, i.e.- the demo work. To solve, just simply change your phase to existing, or the previous phase, and now anything which will be done won't show up!
