I am just wanting a 3/8" square interior elevation tag with the arrow not not filled in so you can read the number! It seems easy... Someone has to know this trick!

Go to Settings-->View Tags-->Elevation Tags
Edit or duplicate and create a new elevation tag.
Change the shape to square - set the size and untick the filled parameter.
HTH.
