I was trying to test the crop region of the floor plan. See attached file. I only want the left and right regions to be visible. Why is the middle portion still visilbe? (Even I have the "annotation crop" checked in the properties box.)

as you can see, your actual elements are cropped by the crop region, it's just grid lines and annotation categories that are visible in the middle (detail lines, text, etc) these categories are not affected by crop regions as far as i know. what kind of lines are the red and blue ones in the middle there?

Red and Blue are just notation and dimension lines. Is there a way I can make this work like the Viewports in AutoCAD, nothing in the middle shows up? I thought the annotation crop in the properties box applies to this, no?
