Hello, I have created a 5/8" wall face for a soffit ceiling (works fine) but the wall face will not join with the two walls that meet up with it. Every time I attempt, it shoots past the corner and gives me an error if I trim or set it just short. Wall joins & Trim/extend function do not work. Any suggestions?

I would suggest to add a "stud" layer to your soffit wall so you should be able to have a clean join

The gyp was placed on the stud layer and is listed as structure but still will not join.

I think the problem is that when u change the layer function to structure, it will not clean it up with the gup bd at the corner. i tried it with the standard soffit wall type and it works fine to me See attached
