Ever since i got a new pc in september last year, i havnt been able to render on revit 2011, or should i say, finish a render what it does is random, it will not render on HIGH or BEST settings (printer or screen resolution). it will simply do a range from 10-99% and just stop. it will be at 40% for example, then just go to 100% and stop rendering. just a quick spec for u on my system win7 ultimate 64bit Ram - 4x2gb sticks (8gb total) CPU - i5-760 OC 4.1ghz (cooled) GPU - Radeon 5850 ok so thats out of the way. i have run memory tests on mem86+ and no problems. 27 passes 0 errors. people say you need more RAM to render on 64bit, maybe, but 8gb is surely enough. and to put it in perspective. i had to use my laptop with 2gb of ram to render a 5000x2000 300dpi BEST settings to get my work done. albeit it took 2 days and 18hours. but it did NOT crash. can anyone hazard a guess at why my revit on the pc is not rendering?

possibly the overclock. Revit won't deal well with any errors from an overclock.

i had a feeling it could just be from overclocking, however, i cannot afford to drop the speed as revit is the only thing not working on the pc (when rendering anyway) nooo ._. and i thought overclocking would actually help it render..

I you're crashing during rendering you could also be corrupting files. That isn't going to help anything go faster.

Hate to reopen an old thread but I am having a very similar issue with revit 2013 on an 17 O.C.'d to 4.8ghz. Rendering atarts for about 2 min then just skips ups to 100% It is maddening. Did removing the overclock help? Or does anyone have any ideas on how to solve this problem?!
I have stress tested all of the hardware (memtest86, intel burn test, etc) all passed.
HELP!
Thanks!
