I am interested in creating a kitchen that has standard base and wall cabinets but also will have a drop in range. Do I need to have a cabinet and range in the same location? I cannot find a cabinet model built to allow a countertop range and oven unit to be dropped in on it. Any suggestions?

Model just like you build. Find an appropriate base cabinet to go under your range. The counter will be seperate and the range will be seperate. You may not find everything you need here at RC or in your library. You may find the cabinet you need at the autodesk seek site. Search cabinet.
