I'm trying to render "shaded" or "shaded with edges" walkthroughs using Revit Archtiecture 2011. The walkthroughs range from 10 seconds to 20 seconds, at 24 fps, 770 x 530 (I tried 30fps as well didn't seem to make a diference.) I'm using the Cinepak Codec by Radius. The final walkthroughs are appearing "Wavy". As the camera moves the lines or some surfaces move as well (not smoothly there moving at a jagged angle if that makes sense). I tried creating a section through one of the camera paths to see if its on angle but it seems fine. The videos are to big to post so I attached a couple screen shots from the rendered walkthroughs that show the odd lines. Has anyone seen this happen or have any other ides to solve the problem? Any help would be amazing!! and as soon as possible, I'm running out of ideas. Thanks all

Are you talking about the "jaggedness" or "pixelation" of the edge lines? ie. the ceiling grid, wall profile edges, etc. If so, I believe this is standard when producing walkthroughs in a "Shaded with Edges" setting, it's the anti-aliasing (or lack there of) of the scene. This combined with the video quality deterioration during video compression is giving you the wavy effect. If you are looking to produce a crisp, smooth edged walkthrough, I think you will have to create your walkthrough as a high quality rendered setting.

Yes thats what I was refering too, as the video plays the lines move through it too. I think your right, wow... When you say high quality rendered setting, I guess the only option in Revit would be to render as "Rendered". Thanks so much

Yeah, unfortunately, set aside a couple days to "render" your walkthrough... 24 frames per second at 20 seconds is 480 renderings...
